DataFlow verification for therapists: documents, costs and timeline
What DataFlow actually does
It does not check that your certificate looks real. It contacts the issuing institution and asks them to confirm it. That distinction is why the process takes time and why the delay is usually not on your side.
Typical documents verified for a therapist are your education certificate including internship, your professional licence or registration, a good standing certificate, and one or more experience letters.
What it costs
| Item | Indicative cost |
|---|---|
| Base package, four documents (degree, licence, good standing, one experience letter) | AED 935 |
| Each additional document | around AED 300 |
If you have worked at several clinics and need multiple experience letters verified, the cost rises quickly. It is worth checking with the authority how many years of experience actually need verifying before you submit everything you own.
Why reports get stuck
Almost every long DataFlow delay comes from one of these:
- The university does not respond. Verification requests land in a registrar office that may not prioritise them.
- A former employer has closed, moved, or restructured. If the clinic no longer exists, verification becomes difficult and you may need alternative evidence.
- The person who signed your experience letter has left. There may be nobody willing to confirm it.
- Name mismatches. Your name on your degree, passport and licence must match. Maiden names, initials and different transliterations all cause queries.
- Vague experience letters. A letter that does not state your role and scope of practice may not be accepted.
How to speed it up
- Before you submit, email your university registrar and your former HR contacts to tell them a verification request is coming, and ask them to respond promptly.
- Get experience letters reissued now if they are vague, on plain paper, or unsigned. It is far easier while you still have a relationship with the employer.
- Resolve name inconsistencies in advance, with an affidavit or supporting document if needed.
- Start DataFlow in parallel with your exam preparation rather than waiting for one to finish.
- Keep scanned copies of everything, at high resolution and in colour.
Coming from India
If you qualified in India, your registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India is usually part of what gets verified, alongside your degree and internship. Make sure your registration is current before you begin, because verifying a lapsed registration creates avoidable questions.
Common questions
How much does DataFlow cost?
The base package is around AED 935 and covers four documents: degree, professional licence, good standing certificate and one experience letter. Additional documents are around AED 300 each.
How long does DataFlow take?
It varies a great deal, because it depends on how quickly your university and former employers respond. Plan for months rather than weeks and start as early as possible.
Can I start the exam before DataFlow finishes?
Generally yes. The verification and the assessment can be done in either order or at the same time, and running them in parallel is usually faster.
What happens if a former employer has closed down?
Verification becomes harder and you may need to provide alternative evidence. Raise it early rather than waiting for the report to stall.
