PQR is the rulebook the authority uses to assess your documents. Every profession has its own entry, setting out accepted educational qualifications, minimum post-qualification experience, internship expectations and examination criteria.
This matters because it is the objective standard behind decisions that otherwise feel arbitrary. If an application is rejected on qualification grounds, PQR is usually why.
Unified, but not identical
MOHAP, DOH, DHA and the Sharjah Health Authority publish a unified PQR, which is why requirements look broadly similar across emirates. It is a genuine improvement on the fragmented position of a few years ago.

What it typically requires for therapy roles

- Check the degree level accepted, the minimum post-qualification experience, and whether internship must be documented separately.
- Confirm the examination route that applies to your profile.

Where PQR interacts with other rules
PQR sets the entry standard. Two other things sit alongside it and are assessed separately: primary source verification of your documents through DataFlow, and continuity of recent practice under the gap of practice rule. Meeting PQR does not help if your gap is too long, and a clean practice record does not help if your qualification is below the required level.
